The Mid-South RC&D Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to meet community needs and enhance the quality of life throughout our region, including Autauga, Bullock, Butler, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery counties.

THE MID-SOUTH MISSION
In 1993, the Mid-South RC&D Council was formed to improve our communities’ quality of life and economic well-being by enhancing human and natural resources through education and involvement in response to the needs of our region. Since then, we’ve worked to fill regional gaps in education, community improvement, and economic development through projects that enhance and improve the lives of citizens!

+250,000 underserved individuals were impacted by projects within our region during FY 2022.
Over $265,000 was invested in our region’s educational outreach and training in FY 2022.
Over $287,000 was invested in regional community and economic development in FY 2022.
LIVING OUT OUR MISSION
Mid-South RC&D projects are designed to improve our region’s quality of life and economic well-being. During FY 2023, we carried out 37 projects that addressed unmet needs and filled the gaps in our communities.
